The Nasal Aire II Prong CPAP mask provides a more comfortable solution for patients suffering from sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Patients looking for an alternative to uncomfortable masks and cumbersome headgear can find their continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) delivery solution with this nasal prong mask system. The Nasal Aire II is much smaller and less bulky than typical nasal masks, eliminating the claustrophobic experience that many patients complain about with full masks.

This mask is latex free and is comprised of a soft nosepiece with two nasal inserts. The nosepiece fits under the nose and provides a base for the nasal inserts. The soft nasal inserts interface with the nostrils, forming an easy seal.

The nosepiece is connected to two tubes that form a Y-shaped coupling, coming together and ending in a rotating swivel that can be attached to the standard CPAP hose. The swivel allows the coupling to rotate freely, providing patients a wide range of freedom of movement and positioning during sleep.

Unlike larger and bulkier masks, the small and unobtrusive size of the nasal prong interface allows patients to easily engage in pre-sleep activities such as reading or watching television because the patient’s field of view is completely unobstructed. Patients can even wear glasses while wearing the Nasal Aire II.

The system is easy to assemble and easy to clean. Cleaning merely involves washing the tubes and components in water and air drying.

Obstructive sleep apnea is a sleep disorder in which patients find it difficult to breathe while sleeping.  As these patients sleep, their airway muscles relax and close off the airway, resulting in breathing interruptions that cause the patient to awaken.

Applying continuous positive airway pressure, or CPAP, to the patient’s airways effectively creates an air pressure splint that prevents the airway from collapsing.  With the airway open, these patients are able to breath and sleep better.  The delivery of CPAP requires a comfortable mask that forms a stable seal like the Nasal Aire II.

The Nasal Aire II system is simple, small, and easy to use, making it a great mask for your CPAP therapy needs.
