· Designed specifically to work with the HC407, this headgear will
support and secure the HC407 mask so you can get the most out
of your sleep therapy.
Designed to secure the HC407 nasal CPAP mask, this headgear stabilizes the mask for optimal sleep therapy.
If your current headgear is damaged or lost, you need to replace it so that you can get the best results from your sleep therapy. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) causes people to lose the ability to sleep well. This is due to the fact that as the patient sleeps, their upper airway muscles relax and collapse, obstructing the airway and disrupting the breathing, which causes the patient to repeatedly awaken during the night. A therapy for this disorder involves applying continuous positive air pressure (CPAP) to the patient’s airway to keep it from collapsing. Thus the patient can breath regularly while sleeping, allowing the patient to be able to sleep uninterrupted through the night.
A mask interface such as the HC407 forms a stable seal with the patient’s airway, applying the CPAP. The therapy is only effective if the mask interface consistently keeps the seal intact while the patient sleeps. The headgear serves to keep the headgear stable and secure, ensuring effective therapy. Damaged headgear may not be able to fully secure the HC407, compromising the effectiveness of the therapy. Always replace damaged headgear to get the best results from your sleep therapy.
