    Respironics Deluxe Headgear gives patients the adjustability for both comfort and stability for Respironics CPAP masks.

    Effective therapy for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) requires the application of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) to help maintain open airways while the patient is sleeping.  Delivery of CPAP to the patient’s airways is highly dependent on the CPAP mask maintaining a stable seal while the patient sleeps.  For the mask to maintain a good seal, stable headgear is critical.

    Not only does the headgear need to provide stability for the mask, it also needs to be comfortable for the patient.  The ultimate goal of sleep therapy is for the patient to be able to get restful sleep. Thus, the headgear must not cause discomfort to the patient.
